At Leyland Methodist Infant School our curriculum runs throughout the school year with six weeks for each topic theme to ensure we have a broad and balanced curriculum for the children in our setting. Our children are always at the heart of our curriculum and we are committed to serve by celebrating everyone’s God-given talents; giving the best of ourselves for all the world and doing all the good we can together. We believe within our the church and wider community we should loveserve and celebrate together in all we do.

It is from this shared Christian vision across both schools that we have created, and are continuously developing, a broad, rich and balanced curriculum aimed to inspire and equip our children for the opportunities, responsibilities and experiences of later life.

We aim to provide children with a broad, rich and exciting curriculum. The school curriculum is based on the National Curriculum in Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in the Reception Year. English and Maths are taught daily. P.E. is taught discretely with children also having access to physical activities at playtimes and through extra-curricular clubs.
