Do all the good you can, by all the means you can, in all the ways you can, in all the places you can, at all the times you can, to all the people you can, as long as ever you can.

What does your child learn at school each day? Find information about our curriculum subjects here.

At Leyland Methodist Infant School we aim to provide children with a broad, rich and exciting curriculum. The school curriculum is based on the National Curriculum in Key Stage One (Years 1 and 2) and on the Early Years Foundation Stage curriculum in the Reception Year. English and Maths are taught daily. P.E. is taught discretely with children also having access to physical activities at playtimes and through extra-curricular clubs.   The remaining subjects are taught discretely and/or as part of a topic themed approach that embraces creativity, known as the Creative Curriculum. This approach is skills based rather than knowledge based with skills being enhanced and built upon. Most importantly children are excited, enthused and enquiry-driven. They develop good attitudes to learning that promote independence and help them to develop the skills of life-long learners.
